Caneeliea: The Borneo Gurl

2 weeks ago, Wei Chuen went for a minor surgery at Damai Specialist Hospital, and even though he didn’t have to stay overnight, the thought of him going under the knife still scares me.

Seeing him prepped for surgery, and waiting for over an hour in front of the operation room was nerve wrecking! But glad it went well.

And to those of you who’s following me on Twitter, you’d know how much of a SS501 fan I am. And lookie here: Wei Chuen’s bed (and room) was 501! ♥ Oh Gong Il ♥

I had to postpone all my sewing work to help WC around the house after work, like cook his post-surgery dinners, and try to make things as comfortable for him as possible, so to those of you who have ordered your bags, am so sorry about this! Will try to get some orders done this week!

Also to those of you who have made your orders in the past week, thank you!! Will get them done as soon as possible ya?

Okay, I admit, my Bahasa Malaysia (BM) is SO hancur!

It’s not that I don’t understand BM; I do actually, 100% knowledge of understanding, but when it comes to me TALKING in BM..

OMG. It’s so horrible, even I’m embarrassed at myself! Lol!

My colleagues in the office are mostly Muslims, so of course they would speak BM to me, right? (Well, plus a little bit of English words here and there for my sake I think).. but when it comes to replying them..

1. First I have to think of what I have to say (of course, duh!). But this automatically comes out in English. Don’t ask.
2. Translate my thoughts to BM in a matter of seconds.
3. Cycle above continues if conversation is still ongoing.

So just imagine if they want a quick answer from me.. more often than not, I’d stumble on my BM words, and yes, this happened ALL the time, it’s very frustrating!

That’s why, when people cracks a joke in BM, I would laugh first, while thinking of something to say to that person. I can NEVER reply to them straightaway, though!

Quite pathetic, IMPO (that’s In My Pathetic Opinion, btw).

Why can’t I reply to them in straight BM? And why do my BM pronunciation so hancur one? Tiba-tiba pandai keluar dogo la, Chinese accent la.. Aduiii..

So there you go. I hope this answers your questions on why I speak ‘like that‘ in BM.

But to look at this problem of mine in a good way, at least I’m helping y’all practice your English, right? Teehee..
