Food Friday: Tuaran Mee

05 Mar

Hi guys! If you're new here, you should subscribe to my RSS feed. TQ for visiting! :)

Tuaran Mee

You cannot compare the Tuaran Mee in town as the original ones in Tuaran itself, but hey, unless you’re not working, it’s not like you can simply drive over to Tuaran during your lunch break to just to have this dish, right? And what if you have a craving for this at night??

So regarding the latter, I have found a place just for that, at E-West’s restaurant. I’ve had it twice now, and even though the second time, the mee were a bit soggy, it still tasted as good as the real thing! We’ve also tried other dishes, but this has got to be a must-order dish for me everytime I come here.

And hey, with a nice, cosy, and air-conditioned environment, complete with cute wood blinds on its windows, I certainly don’t mind eating there again!

Food Friday #5: Hainanese Chicken Rice

19 Feb

Seriously, I can eat Hainanese Chicken Rice every single day and I won’t get bored of it! What can I say; I love chicken and I love rice, and I love chicken rice! ;)

I guess that’s probably why my partner in life is a Hainanese, huh!

The above photo was taken during our Valentine’s Day lunch at Bella Italia in Jesselton Hotel. You can read more about it at my KK Food Reviews blog here!

Food Friday #4

Fish Head Curry

For this week’s Food Friday, I give you a quick snap of the fish head curry WC and I had a few days back at the curry house at Kolombong. (I’ve forgotten the name of the place! doh!)

I know the photo above is mighty boring in a photography perspective, but when you’re very hungry, getting the angle right is the LAST thing on your mind! You just want to devour the food in front of you! ;)

Happy Food Friday, everyone! TGIF!

Food Friday #3

29 Jan

I tweeted this the other day:

And straightaway, I got some people asking me where in KK this place is. (Guess they didn’t notice the link I put up there, huh?) But because of so many people who don’t seem to know about this place, I was a bit skeptical as to where it’s still there or not.

I mean, what if it was closed?? My excitement would’ve been for nothing!!

But luckily..

Beijing Buffet BBQ Steamboat is still there, located inside of Kg. Nelayan, at Bukit Padang! What a relief!!

And so back to this post’s topic, what better day than to post the pic I took that night, right here on Food Friday right? ;)

BBQ Buffet Steamboat!

It’s just a simple snapshot that I took before eating to my heart’s content! It IS an All-You-Can-Eat restaurant, after all, so I wasn’t gonna spend my time taking pics; I wanted to just get straight to bbq-ing my food so I can eat!

Happy Food Friday, everyone! :)
