Hi guys! If you're new here, you should subscribe to my RSS feed. TQ for visiting! :)

** Continuation from KK Jazz Fest @ 1Borneo (Part 1) **

Okay, so here’s Part 2 of the KK Jazz Fest, which was held on 21 June ‘08 at 1Borneo!

After Paul Ponnudurai’s performance, came Greg Lyons and his saxophone!

They sure did their best of trying to get the audiences to their feet and dancing! I myself couldn’t stand still and take their pics! LOL..

Last pic of the night

Obviously we all didn’t stay till the end. I missed seeing the Mayor grooving to the music! Argh!..

But oh well.

~~~~~~
And okay.. here are 2 of my main complaints on the event:
  1. Why in the world did they held the event right in the middle of a mall?? We feel silly buying the tickets when other people walking by could just watch for free! Venue is all wrong this year!
  2. The rotary member (which I will not say who) was rudely wanting us to move back to get some space for people dancing in front. I admit, we were among the photogs there at the front row which we didn’t pay for the tickets, and solely because of that, I didn’t say anything to that rude person. But how about those behind us who DID paid for the RM100 tickets? They were rudely asked to move back too! I mean like, WTF? You guys should’ve thought about the dancing space before the event, what!! And I lost mood on the event, and left not long after that. Messy arrangements for this year’s KK Jazz Fest man!
Let’s all hope that next year’s event will be much better, yeah?
KK Jazz Fest @ 1Borneo (Part 1)
Okay folks.. let’s get on with the KK Jazz Fest post now, shall we?
me-kk-jazzfest.jpg
As you all know (and seen that night, I’m sure) Amie and I were busy taking pics of the KK Jazz Fest event at 1Borneo. Now, I won’t put all the photos I’ve taken here on my blog, but what I’m gonna do is just post some of them here, and the rest I will compile it into some sort of slideshow or something.
Okay let’s get to it!
DSC07048
The entrance to those with the RM50 tickets. Seriously, if I had known, I wouldn’t have gone to so many Coffee Bean outlets justa buy these tickets man.. Could’ve watched it for free from outside the closed-up area and the above floors!
Heineken-booth
The Heineken booth nearby.. Was sold at RM10 per can
emcees
The emcees for that nite, Iskandar and Jasmine
opening-act
The opening act.. sorry, I don’t have the program for the event, so I don’t know who’s who..
DSC07077
You can hardly hear her play the flute, too bad. I used to play the flute very well back in Junior High too.. but have forgotten it now. I think I should dig up my old flute and start playing again eh..
Another local group. Playing the saxaphone with full of soul
DSC07155
Whoa.. check out ‘dem eyes!
DSC07160
Who played it better.. him?
DSC07163
Or him?
No lah.. they both played excellent. No comparison. :)
More of the group
And then we went for the international act!
DSC07185
First up, Xion Gi! His voice was soothing.. very nice to listen to
DSC07245
With Andy Peterson on bass, Mac Chew on keyboard, Badar on the percussions, and John Thomas on drums
DSC07237
Badar during his solo performance (too bad got those distractions in front of him in this pic.. ishh)
DSC07255
Then it was Paul Ponnudurai’s turn to take the stage! It took him quite a long time to do the sound check as he wasn’t happy at all with the sound coming out. The crowd was starting to be restless!
DSC07257
But then I guess he was slightly satisfied with it (?) and finally started his performance!
Man, I loved his performance the most!!
DSC07273
Especially when he hit those high notes then went to his falsetto just flawlessly, I was really like, WOW!! And he didn’t miss a note! Nothing offkey (cuz you know.. you can really hear those things when you’re doing a solo act)
~~~~~~

Okay.. part 1 done. Hope you’ve enjoyed the pics that I took! By the way, have you all checked out WC’s photos of the event? Y’all can check ‘em out HERE!

I’ll continue with part 2 really soon okies!

Part 2 is now done folks! Check them out HERE!

Pitstop: The Italian Fast Food

Remember my post about the opening of the Thai Inspired eatery? (click HERE if you haven’t read it).. Well, that same night after that event, Amie and I (along with our men and Lil’ Miss H) attended another eatery opening, this time it’s Amie’s friend’s new food joint called Pitstop, located at the brand new KK Times Square. (you won’t be able to see it from the main highway; this eatery is facing the rest of the KK Times Square building)

pitstop1
Pitstop: The Italian Fast Food! Cool, huh?

pitstop2
How the inside looks like, with drinks like wine and beer and soft drinks were served

Now I’m not sure what it means, exactly, but hey.. good Italian food that you can get in a jiffy? Sounds good enough to me! No need to know the rest! LOL..

pitstop4
A variety of pizzas and other dishes were served. Not sure about the prices though.. maybe you guys can tell me about when you drop by there?

pitstop5
Even though I was stuffed, this is what I had that night. All were yummy! I especially love the tuna pizza! Yum yum..

pitstop7
Look! Fellow bloggers like Marilyn and Ms.Lamau were also there!

pitstop8
Before we all left, we had a session of group pics! Fun!

So if you’re near (or maybe work in) KK Times Square, then you should definitely drop by Pitstop to get your yummy food in a jiffy!

Alice & Hubby’s Wedding Lunch

** Before you read this post, please read WC’s post HERE first about this event as well. This particular post is just a continuation of it.. or more like my version of the event hehe.. **

After the event, I was also asked to use the official photog’s camera to take some pics, which I don’t mind. But I found out that the whole event, the camera was in auto mode.. interesting!

And finally..

DSC06713
Seriously, how many wedding couple do you know that wears t-shirt and sneakers on their wedding reception?? So sporting oh kan?? Cute oh them!

Congrats again Alice & Hubby! :)

~~~~~~
Small talk: Maybe I should’ve gotten them custom picture framing to go along with their wedding lunch pics too, huh?
