Threadsy, I Like!

25 Jun

Hi guys! If you're new here, you should subscribe to my RSS feed. TQ for visiting! :)

If you’re in my FB as well as my Twitter friend list, you’d notice that my friends and I have been talking about threadsy lately, and how excited we are on using it.

Why, you ask?

Well, wouldn’t you be happy that you no longer need to open so many tabs just to check your various email clients, plus having your Facebook AND Twitter account all in the same page??

(left part are for the emails as well as mentions in FB and Twitter, right part are solely for Twitter and/or FB updates)

I’m so used to opening so many tabs and having my computer crashing on me, that when FaizalHeesyam first tweeted about threadsy, curiosity got the better of me, and I quickly tried it out, and am loving it! Heck, I love it even more than Tweetdeck even, seriously!!

So in short, my verdict on threadsy so far:

Pros:

  1. Can manage multiple email clients PLUS Facebook and Twitter in just a single tab; no need to go back and forth to so many tabs to check each and every one of them! So say goodbye to multiple tabs on your browser!
  2. Can reply to posts and comments on Twitter and Facebook through threadsy itself; no need to open to a new page! (love, love, love this feature!)
  3. Notification is a soft ding sound, instead of that annoying sound in Tweetdeck.
  4. Won’t get distracted with all the games in FB, ha!

Cons:

  1. No link button provided for Twitter when we want to post a new update (not sure about FB?) (and we all just love to provide links to everything we read or saw online, dont’ we?) But there is a link button available in Twitter when we reply to someone’s update, though!
  2. Slightly laggish updates on “inbound” section. I’d just click on the individual email/FB/Twitter account under the “more” section.. it gets updated there much faster, like instantly. (But if you have no urgent email to attend to, sticking to the “inbound” section is fine)
  3. I only wish they could include the YM in it as well, but I guess I’m asking too much here, aren’t I? Hehe..

Well these are all that I can think of so far.

But the cons are very minor, that it hardly bothers me, actually. Gosh, I can’t wait to use it on my home computers as well!

So go and try threadsy now! Syok bah!

(and no, this is a free promo, I’m not getting paid for saying this at all, lol!)
