Dimple, this is a very old fire hydrant, I think, not sure whether they’re still functional or not. I took this pic when I was on a holiday to Penang Malaysia. Here in Sabah, the fire hydrants here look just like any other fire hydrants around the world, red and burlier, as you put it hehe..
