I don’t usually post pics of my nieces on my blog, but this is just too cute. When they were here in KK a last week, she was asked to pose in front the car lights by sis Jewelle.

I took the opportunity to snap some pics too, and if I’m not mistaken, this one was where she was dancing in front of the car, twirling and doing her princess poses! This girl sure loves princess things! So cute!

But whenever I think of them, why do safety harness pops up in my head once in a while? Is it because they like to jump up and down, here and there? Hehe..

Weddings Everywhere

27 Sep

Seems like it’s the season to get married yet again. Everywhere I turn, relatives and friends are getting married left and right!

It’s not empty, it’s just that everyone’s still in Sabah time.. ish

And last night, WC and I attended a friend of ours, Chris&Penky’s wedding at Imperial Int’l Hotel. The decor’s so cute: pinkish purple!

Didn’t bring the dSLR, just the small Coolpix. And because I was wearing the wrong high heels (had to change at the last minute, don’t ask) I didn’t move around as much. Ish..

Also, hey, ho come the photogs only snapped pics of only those they know? I thought photogs covering the event are supposed to go from table to table and take pics to show who attended the event? Ish again..

We didn’t get to take pics with the bride and groom as well, as they we still busy going from table to table and yamseng-ing.

But we ask Dino to take this pic of us at the hallway before we left!

But I Didn’t Gain Any

24 Sep

With all the fun of gathering with the family and celebrating 2 birthdays this month:

September-happenings

And all the seafood while dining out lately, it’s no wonder I keep hearing WC complain that he needs to lose some weight again.

But I just told him, “No need to search for the best weight loss product in pharmacies lah, just do your usual moving around like you usually do at your workplace, and you’ll lose the unnecessary kgs in no time”.

Unfortunately for me, I didn’t gain any weight. Sad.

Of Steel Drums & Food

24 Sep

Back when I was still a kid, whenever there’s a party at the house, I remember my mom and women relatives would be busy in the kitchen preparing the food, while the men outside are tending the BBQ pit.

Why am I telling you this bit of my past?

It’s because of this:

When I saw pics of the stainless steel drum, I’d remember that we’d use our old drums and turn it into a BBQ pit! Hehe..

But gone are the days that my family uses charcoal and old fashion BBQ pit.. now we only use WC’s electric griddle plate as a replacement to BBQ! Either that, or we just simply eat out during a celebration!

BTW, saw the food that we had at Salut the other night with our Japanese tourist friend on my foodblog? We got her to try more local and seafood! But she was so shocked upon hearing the price of the dinner that night! We thought uh oh.. she don’t have enough money to spend us (she insisted on treating us for dinner). Turned out that the price is like a 1 person meal in Tokyo! It was then our turn to be shocked! Haha..

But sigh.. with sis and family back in Brunei, and our new friend back in Japan, it’s now time come back to reality and work our butts off! And no more dining like there’s no tomorrow! Haha..
