Hi guys! If you're new here, you should subscribe to my RSS feed. TQ for visiting! :)
Just the other day, I got an email about the photos I posted here on my blog.. or more specifically, the close-up of my mom’s flower photos. That person was asking how to take a nice photo of it, and should they use flash or not even in broad daylight, and how should the proper settings be to take a nice photo of the flower.
I don’t really take flower photos on a frequent basis (unlike food photos), but I guess the overall rule is about the same, i.e. macro photography. To be honest, I really suck in explaining it myself, that’s why a lot of my posts are mostly explained through photos instead (teehee!). And I usually apply the same concept for the macro photography in food as well.
But you can read up on this article called Shooting close ups of flowers with and without lighting improvements online, and it’s really easy to understand. The article basically explains the steps to taking close ups of flowers, like where to focus, etc.
So to the person who emailed me, I hope you find this article useful! Don’t forget to post it on your blog so we can see the result!
