Tweetdeck vs. TwitterFox
Some of you still ask me about Twitter, the purpose of using it, and what programs to use it with. Although I’m no expert in this field, here’s my answer..
Yes, Twitter is great if you want to keep up with your favourite celeb(s) updates, or latest updates and posts from your friends (providing that they have linked their blogs to their Twitter account, that is).
I personally use these 2 programs to get my Twitter updates:

This program is great if you follow A LOT of people, and want to organise their updates in groups. I have created groups like Celeb Blogs, Int’l Celebs, M’sian Celebs, Korean Celebs, Friends, etc. You can also filter a particular group, especially from those annoying spam ads. Furthermore, you can also update your Facebook status and upload pics to Twitpic from here as well.
But whenever I’m online, I do tend to open like 10 sites (or more) in my Firefox tabs, and I find that Tweetdeck does slow down my computer a bit, so I only use this program when I’m not ‘working’, as I don’t want to ‘crash’ my Firefox. Also, I hafta go back and forth, from my Firefox window to my Tweetdeck window to check for the updates. It’s a bit of a hassle sometimes to keep on checking the updates when you get the notifications.
So how do I keep up with the Twitter updates when I’m not on Tweetdeck then?

What I like about this Firefox plugin is that you don’t hafta go back and forth from window to window to check the updates; you can see the updates immediately as it pops up on your bottom right window.
But a lot of people complains that this is not good enough, as you can’t organise your updates in groups, and the updates are slower than Tweetdeck. But if you don’t follow a lot of people, then this program is good enough for you to use. You can not only get updates from there, you can also get your private messages and replies there, and you can also update your status through TwitterFox as well. Simple but good.
Hope this answers your questions a bit. And to those of you who are still not on Twitter, it’s still not too late to hop on to the Twitter bandwagon! And when you do, don’t forget to add me up at http://twitter.com/caneeliea ya!
