Hi guys! If you're new here, you should subscribe to my RSS feed. TQ for visiting! :)
If y’all haven’t heard, there’s another new free monthly magazine here in KK called Bandwidth Streetpress!
Okay fine, it’s not exactly a magazine, it’s actually a streetpress!
And what exactly is a streetpress, you ask?”
“(From Wikipedia) Streetpress is a term used to describe a certain type of publishing, between magazines/newspapers in terms of distribution, content and audience”
Bandwidth is perfect for those who loves music (like me!), and wanna keep in touch with the latest music happenings both locally as well as internationally. There are also other topics covered as well, like fashion, gadgets, events, etc. Very informative. And did I mention it’s free?
You can get more info of Bandwidth Streetpress from their website HERE, like their distribution locations and such. Make sure you get a copy today! ;)
UPDATE: Video of the performances is now up! Check out below!
Seems like March is a busy month for me, as events are happening almost each week! And last night, Wei Chuen and I attended another cool event, this time it was the Wine Tasting & Jazz Night at CUBE.
I gotta say, endless great wine with delicious food, coupled with jazz and blues music playing, equals a super cool event!
WC and I arrived there around 6.45pm to find that we will be seating with a bunch of our other friends (as seen from the name list on the pic above), right in front of the band!
We were also served a 3-course meal together with 3 different types of wines. For appetizers, we had 1) Thai Style Squid Cake & Chicken Roll (served with white wine, a Vina Maipo Sauvignon Blanc), and 2) Stir Fried Beef with Jing Sauce & Cheese Prawn (served with red wine, a Vina Maipo Cabernet Merlot).
For our main course, WC had the Secret Sauce Fish Fillet, and I had the Salt & Pepper Chicken Chop (served with another red wine, this time a Vina Maipo Carmenere Cabernet Sauvignon).
And for dessert, we were supposed to have the Lemon Cheese Cake (as per the menu), but I don’t know why, we had the butter and chocolate cake instead.. hmm..
Some pics of the bands who played that night:
De Notes (you guys might recognise Teddy Chin Jr, the Saxophone player featured on this month’s issue of Bandwidth Streetpress!)
Another band.. (I’m sorry I didn’t get your names)
And the final band for the night, D Blues.
They all played great! I’ve recorded some videos of them playing, will upload them later when my line’s not so slow!
And finally, with the organisers of the event, Canon (who introduced us the great wines), and Mei of CUBE! TQ for organising a cool event guys! We’ll be looking forward to more events like these! ;)
Oh ya. MetSikmading there for the first time in person, too! :)
~~~~~~
We all went to BED and BarSu after this event, and to those of you who are in my Facebook list of friends, you guys have the priviledge to view the pics of that in the album I’ve just uploaded recently! ;)
So after a meeting yesterday, I rushed from Centrepoint to City Mall during rush hour to make it in time for the CUBE Photo Contest at 6pm. Arrived there, only to find out that there were others who arrived later than me! Cheh.. I really don’t like Sabah time lah! Ish!
But anyway, I didn’t know what to expect in the contest, because there were 2 models there especially for the event. All the guys were going gaga taking their pics, and to be fair, I did took some of their pics as well lah..
Meet models Beatrice and Emily (I think), outfits sponsored by Samantha Boutique
Julian & Mei didn’t specify what kind of photos they’re looking for, models with wine, models with food, or only food, or only wine, or only models.. so I guess this above pic is one with all 3 elements in it..?
I’m sure everyone was complaining about the lighting during the contest, including myself. Charles even brought a mini white umbrella, and he also helped me hold it in some of my shots (thanks Chucky!)
So yea.. lighting was my number 1 problem. Second was finding the right angle. Urgh.
Not sure which pic to submit yet la.. when’s the deadline again?
