Worst Nightmare
I hate it! WC and I had so much fun today, with driving over to Tuaran and checking out the resorts there, (turned back halfway of going to Mimpian Jadi Resort; the road there is terrible!) and lepak-ing at Tuaran Beach Resort (almost gave up going there too due to the road, but WC drove REALLY slowly and endured the holes on the road and we DID make it there), and WC with his mug of beer and I with my glass of margarita, sipping and chilling on the beach, and taking so many silly photos, but when I reached home, tried to download my photos to my computer, I found that my CF card couldn’t be read!!
How can that be?? I can still see my pictures that I took in my camera, but my computer just won’t read my CF card! WTF!
Luckily though, WC did brought his camera as well.. at least there’s this pic of us lepak-ing:
But still.. so sad la.. it just ruined my mood the rest of the day.. hmph!!

Last year I went to both places, road not 1st class, but still OK-lah. At Tuaran Beach Resort end of last yr, for our dept’s annual workshop, the new management assured us that the road has been improved - and it was. But perhaps since then no maintenance was done. The first time I went to Mimpian Jadi in 1994, the road was REALLY terrible then - only slightly better than logging roads.

A CF card in the office had that problem, but was readable on an Apple computer, and got all the images out. The card was later reformatted and worked fine again.

Gallivanter, haha.. yea well.. I’m sure those people staying there have tried to do something; otherwise why would they endure all those holes for so long? hmm…
ben, yea Tuaran Beach Resort is better, but still, if you use a sedan car to go there, still sakit hati lah.. the holes were so deep.. and the Mimpian Jadi pula.. I guess we’d only go there if we use 4WD! There’s no way we’d use WC’s car to go there!
Zie, I was so ready to format my card yesterday, but WC said, try it on other computer first.. and I guess he’s right.. but we don’t have Apple computer here haha.. hmm…

I got a mac for you to use. Hope it works. Whatever it is, wc is right. Try on another pc. Sayang all the images. I’m very sure it can still be copied out.

I had a similar problem with my sd card. Could it be your card reader? Or did you connect your camera straight to the computer…
Hope all your pictures can be recovered.

yup…try la to connect from your cam to pc with usb cable..if can la..hehe my nikon never use card reader..just straight to pc..hehe

impedius, I’ve just left that old memory card, and using a new one haha.. peduli lah the pictures.
polester, yea I tried using my cable too; same problem. But if I use my other memory card, it’s ok. (both using the reader and the cable) Oh well.. I got myself a new memory card. End of problem! Hehe..

Now I’m using my original memory card, and everything’s back to normal sudah!
