Merdeka Plan All Changed

Today’s Merdeka day! Was out and about the whole morning and afternoon today, and seriously, it feels like any other day; we hardly felt any Merdeka feeling here in KK at all today.

But whatever. Our original plans of going out with friends for some clubbing time and for a big seafood dinner this weekend were all scrapped.. because my family had a big surprise over the weekend:

That’s right: Sis Jewelle and kids are in town for the weekend! Talk about last minute! LOL!

But nevertheless, we’re always happy that they’re here; it made the house all lively and noisy again with the kids’ loud voices. Only, this time, their main purpose of coming back suddenly was because of my very sick grandma. It hurts to see my grandma all smiling and looking healthy one day, but looking very sick and lost so much weight and on the verge of coming to the end the next.

At least my nieces managed to make her smile a bit during our visit this morning. But still.. it’s always ’sakit hati’ to see her like that..

Hate this sad feeling.. sigh.
