Feeling Patriotic

Atkinson Clock Tower

In just slightly more than a week from today, Malaysia will celebrate its 51st Birthday aka National Day.

So, feeling a bit patriotic just now when I was downtown, saw this Atkinson Clock Tower standing proudly on the hill. I’ve always told myself that I will take a pic of it someday, so just now, I made WC stop over and asked them (WC & big bro) to ‘bodyguard’ me while I take the pic. (since the place is very quiet and dark at night, AND there was a dude sleeping at the very dark bus station)

And since it’s a very old landmark, I thought I’d edit the pic and make it look like a very old pic too! ;)

Looks very much like an old picture.

If in Brunei, every house is told to fly the flag for a period of time during occasions like national day and the Sultan’s birthday.

While for us Malaysian…how many of us even have flags at home? Well at least we can fly the small flag on the car lah.
