Alas! My Mango post is here! LOL!

And yes, Mango is now officially open! Woohoo!

I was one of the lucky ones to be invited for the opening of Mango at KAC on Monday, 2nd June 2008 (TQ to Johnboy & Melanie! :) ). I went in a group which include WC, Amie, Lil’ Miss H., and Impedius, and other bloggers that were there (that I know of) were Fara, Julian, Edgar, Massy, and a few more Ravejoint members.

Oh, and before I forget, Mango Cafe also has a blog! How cool is that?? Click HERE to check it out!

Clearly on the above pic, Mango serves ‘Thai Inspired Cuisine’ at an affordable price. Don’t know what that means? Well, you’ll see the food later.. ;)

And here’s the food served in buffet style:

I’m not sure what the names of the dishes were, but I gotta say that I love the Pandan Chicken and the fish (on the first pic) the most! They were so yummy, am definitely coming back for more of ‘em!

The rest were slightly spicy, a norm for Thai dishes. Quite yummy as well.

Anyway, I noticed that a lot of the dishes uses santan (coconut milk). I’ve been to a few Thai restaurants, but never have I come across dishes that uses this, so maybe this is where the fusion part kicks in? *I’m just assuming of course* But whatever it is, the chef did a good job with the food, cuz all the dishes were delicious, and the food were gone in just after an hour! Wow!

If y’all ask me whether I’m gonna to Mango again, I’m definitely gonna answer y’all a big YES! I want more of those yummy Pandan Chicken!! And I wanna try out my fav Thai dish, Tom Yam Goong, too! Can’t wait!

So why not you guys give it a try as well and let me know how it goes? This cafe is located on the first floor, above Fook Yuen Restaurant.

See y’all there! ;)

I had dinner at Mango last week and I’m not too thrilled about the food there. The place has a nice vibe to it and I want them to succeed but much needs to be done. We ran out of space on the comment sheet. :) Hopefully the food will improve. The lunchset is cheap and not bad lah.
