I just hope this time can reach 100 ppl. I know we have more Sabahan bloggers but other than the unavoidable excuse like back to study and pregnant related or outstation, the rest just don’t want to come. I know a few that is just around KK and they still do not want to come. Hairan betul sia.
But when it’s already passed, they give the comment, “alaaahh.. ada lagi gathering kah?”. Pengsan sia dengar excuse gini.
For info sesiapa yang baca ni, “SEMUA ORANG PUN PEMALU BAH!”.
sorry JACQ.. saja lepas geram sini

Hmm….. Our second Sabahan Blogger gathering, eh? May I suggest we do something different this time? If last year we enjoy ourselves (very much!), why not this year we still could gather and enjoy ourselves, but at the same time we do some charity? I mean, why not we do it in a place where there are unfortunate people – like Bukit Harapan, Sri Pritchard or even Sri Mengasih?
So apart from having good fellowship with each other, we could also do something at their center – like “gotong-royong” cleaning their places, maybe some of us could bring our old clothes, shoes or just anything that we want to give away, have a pot luck or just being there and spend some time with all these unfortunate souls. And I think this would be the first blogger gathering in Malaysia with charity event in mind (is it?).
Maybe the organizer could try and contact them early, and discuss what are their needs, where we could do something to fullfill their needs. I know, not all of us are rich and wealthy, and it is difficult for us to donate money from our pocket. So, by giving them our services, I bet they will appreciate it. Better still, you can donate your money and give them your services also.
With that, I think it would be a very good platform for us Sabahan blogger to be known to Sabahan people. If Malaysian government have somewhat labeled bloggers as “rebel” or “against their policy”, then this would be a good example that not all bloggers are the same. We can also call TV3 or Sabah based newspaper to give a coverage of the activity, so that laymen perception on bloggers will change.
And by doing this, we don’t have to hunt and look for sponsors. We are the one who will be the sponsor to the unfortunate souls. I know, we won’t earn anything from this (we even may have to spend something), but I really hope that you could appreciate the warm feeling inside as we spend our time with them.
This is just my suggestion. Of course, we could spend our blogged earn money by spending our time on nice meal and environment, and fullfill our aim to get 100 people around, but then, wouldn’t it be nice if we could also share the moment with people like them?
http://bukit-harapan.job29.org/ (maybe somebody could sponsor them a website!)
http://www.julianmorin.com/blog/?p=296 (and them too!)

It is just my suggestion.

I think the thing with Sabahan people they are too afraid to mingle or simply too shy to socialize… haih.. sia pun pemalu bah.. kan papaJoneh?? kan?? kan?? but when papaJoneh & Gallivanter and the others are around, you won’t be pemalu anymore instead will definitely had loads and loads of fun!!! Forget about giving lame excuses and just join in and make this event a success! I would guarantee that you will regret having said “Sorry I can’t attend the Sabahan Bloggers Meet in AUG”.
The first bloggers meet I know nobody! Except si Botak. But I still went, and get to know almost everybody.. almost lah… See, it’s not so bad lar if you are going alone or with another friend. Everybody is friendly to get to know with each other. we are down to earth people.. we won’t bite neither we would left anybody out during this event.. kan Daniel?? *nudge* *nudge*
Whoever guys & gals out there yang tidak mau datang atas alasan malu… you don’t have any guts… ehehehe.. lepas peluang mo kenal all the crazy buncha friendly Sabahan bloggers….
Looking forward to see you guys on 02 Aug!
