Sunday Morning

24 Feb

Sent WC off to the airport this morning, and saw the Treasure Hunt contestants at Terminal 2, and I just realised, adehhhh.. I forgot to get back to my friends on whether I wanted to join or not a few weeks ago!! Argh!! *Kicking myself*

I guess I’ll just join next year lah (which is what I said LAST year sheeshhhh).

Sigh.. but luckily..

The Durian Swiss Roll from Uncle Biscuit was able to take my mind off the treasure hunt (and hopefully about WC being away for 5 freaking days), and younger bro back in Miri, and parents currently in kampung for some work related.

It’s super delicious (even though the actual Durian can hardly be tasted)! And blardy expensive: RM10! But I still lurve it! Just as well everybody’s not home; I can have the swiss roll all to myself muahaha!

About Food Again

23 Feb

Last night, family and I had dinner at New Gaya Seafood Restaurant again. We love eating at this restaurant, because, imagine:

Dinner at Gaya Seafood
Clockwise from left: Steamed prawns, butter prawns, Steamed siakap fish with black bean sauce, kangkung belacan, seafood tofu, and fish maw soup

All these food costs only RM130++ (for 6 pax). That’s very reasonably priced! Never mind the location is on the outskirts of KK; as long as the price is reasonable and the food tastes delicious, that’s what matters right! ;)

Anyway, it was our first time sitting inside of the restaurant (the aircon room), and OMG! That will be the first and the last time for us to sit inside! It was so damn noisy, especially with the kids shouting and running around, and their parents practically shouting to each other while eating; eeeiii such a bad environment to eat in! Pening kepala oh! Next time we’ll just stick to sitting outside, thank you very much!

This dinner was for my younger bro, who is going back to Miri this morning as his new semester at uni will be starting soon. Drive carefully tomorrow ya, bro!

Strawberry Crepes. OMG this is so delicious!

So full after that big dinner, but we all still managed to hang out at The Loft at Waterfront lagi after that (which explained why I couldn’t stay up blogging after reaching home last night heh..)

So CNY season done! Next celebration to look forward to is my birthday in a couple of weeks yeay!

Blind Leading The Blind

20 Feb

DSC05082.jpg
That’s the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this pic! LOL!

Another shot of me taken by Dino, and this time with WC. Have no idea what he took lah so high..

Okay enough with the photography session on the weekend..

~~~~~~~~~~~
Here’s something to think about..
DSC007621.jpg
decoration pic hehe..
I was watching tv the other day (or rather, the tv was watching me, as I was on the bed, fiddling with my camera) when something made me stop at what I was doing and just stared at the tv (it was a cooking show).
Show host: “Why do you need to use curry leaves to cook curry?”
Ooookayyy.. Does the host even know what she just asked the guest chef?? What kind of question is this??
Guest chef: “For more healthy cooking, I use full cream milk instead of coconut milk.”
And..
“Grilling the brinjals are always better. But I prefer to deep fry them, also for healthy cooking reason.”
Here, I was also like whaaaaa..? If it’s for healthy cooking reason, why not just use skim milk instead of full cream milk? Wouldn’t that be a healthier choice?
And deep frying the brinjals are called healthy cooking? Why not just boil it instead? Wouldn’t that be even more healthier??
