The Way To A Man’s Heart Is Thru His Tummy
Friday, February 1st, 2008In an attempt to mold myself into the role of a housewife (future housewife mah ehem..), I am starting to cook meals for him again recently. Nothing fancy, just something with lot’s of veggies, which is something he requests all the time since he practically always eats meat when out with clients in the daytime.
So one of my favourite veggie dish is a Malay dish (I think) called Ayam Paprik. WC let me try it once in a restaurant, and I loved it since then. And I’ve decided to cook for him a couple of nights ago.
So I gathered up all the veggies in the fridge:

It’s enough to feed 3 people actually (the dish was supposed to be for my brother as well, but it turned out that he went out for dinner instead without prior telling me) but since WC and I are big eaters, I guess we wouldn’t have a problem finishing it! Fingers crossed that night!
Oh, if you do not know what this dish is, it’s basically a mixed veggie dish, along with either seafood or chicken, and its secret ingredient is basically tomato sauce, sugar, ginger, and black pepper. No need all those salt or Ajinomoto for this dish. The 4 combinations are enough to make this dish yummy!

I’m not much of a presentation kind of person: who cares how the home-cooked food turns out in the end, if it tastes good, then that’s good enough for me! Plus, that’s WC’s department what!
And yes, even though we were struggling to finish the dish (with my two plates of rice summore OMG), we did eventually finish it! Kenyang gila eh.. And then WC complained that maybe he should go on a diet or something, like how the other people do on tv. Sot oh that guy! LOL..
