Surprisingly Not A Boring Saturday

20 Jan

Since WC is outstation this weekend, I thought I’d have a super boring Saturday yesterday. I tried to call and message my so-called close friends to come hang out with me, but none of them picked up the phone or replied. WTF man..

But whatever.. here’s how my day went..

Those are not the oil.. it’s the lihing. I put a LOT in muahaha..

Ate my leftover drunken chicken soup for brunch.. my favourite soup, sup Lihing! I could drink this anyday anytime! And the stronger, the better! I remembered back when I was like, 5 years old, I would go into my mom’s bedroom (who’d just given birth to my bro at that time) and helped her finish her soup and chicken! And I also remembered doing that when my sis’ gave birth too! LOL..

Since my friends couldn’t go out with me yesterday, I thought, screw it. I’m still going out anyway. Then the next thing that came to my head was, I wanna buy oink oink! LOL.. So I drove over to City Mall to buy some from Giant over there. But hah! After about 10 minutes of going around and around at the ground and basement parking and STILL couldn’t find any parking, I gave up and went to downtown KK instead. On a Saturday. So clever of me huh.. of course I got stuck in a traffic jam! What was I thinking! Sheesh.. And the oink oink, tapun..

So anyway, I went over to Warisan Square to go and check out the shop that sells the Ikea products called Living Concept. Some of the products there are quite nice, but they are SO expensive! Even though I do like the white chest of drawers there (which costs over RM1K if I’m not mistaken), I doubt that I can get it. WC would give me a long lecture on why I would spend my money on such an expensive thing! Oh well..

After that, I drove all the way to Inanam Business Centre (I was like, SO free that day driving around here and there) and went to the Proton Showroom there to check out the new Proton BLM.

My first thought: Hey it looks like a mini Waja or a Nissan Latio Sedan! Then, hey the front lights look like the Altezza’s! And then, Hey, the tail lights look like a Merc! And so I tried sitting down in it, and brushed off the salespeople when they tried to talk to me. I don’t need to listen to any salesperson telling me what I already need to know about this car! I’ve already done my research on the Net lah! Hehe..

And finally, I thought, hey, for a RM40K car, it’s not bad actually, and then took the above pic and the brochure and left.

And went to Damai and Bornion to tapau my lunch. Ahh.. the perks of not eating with WC; I can eat whatever I want! 5 piece chicken all to myself summore! With pearl milky tea! Muahaha!

Then after bro finished his work, I asked him to accompany me in the evening to check out some bedroom furniture. Saw some very nice ones at Lorenzo’s (of course lah nice lol! Price also nice!), but the ones at Casa Furniture area there I saw quite a lot of furniture that I liked too. A lot of darkwood furniture there! Which is what we’re looking for! But I’d hafta bring WC along again for the second time for the final decision.

So by the time we reached home, it was nighttime, and I was beat. So I just watched reruns of My Super Sweet 16, Kimora, and the Amazing Race Asia before heading off to bed. I am so hooked on watching the Amazing Race show lah now! But I don’t see any of my fellow bloggers blogging about it? That’s interesting..

** Oh, apparently WC is having a good time sightseeing Melaka for the third time there too! Nice of you to eat the chendol there on my behalf dearie.. Just don’t get a tummy ache, ya! ;)

After All These Years

18 Jan

It was only today that I got to see my 2 dogs chew on their bone treat side by side on the grass!

DSCN6082.jpg

This is unusual because they would usually get into a fight when eating right next to each other. Jealousy and selfishness on the food are usually the reason behind the argument between these 2 dogs.

So it’s nice to see them chewing peacefully today. :)

Renovation Update: Windows

17 Jan
windows.jpg

Yes, after a week of having a bare open space where the window’s supposed to be, this afternoon, the people from Kar Pit Dol came over and installed our windows! So happy, even though now the room stinks of the glue.. yuck!

We were told by them previously that they could only install the windows next Tuesday, and when WC found out about this (he was in office when this news came) he just blew up, saying he didn’t wanna wait until next week!

His exact words: “Habis lah my plaster ceiling would melt if kena the rain!!

I told him that the workers said that they have to install other customers’ windows, so the only free time that they can do it is on Tuesday. So he quickly called up the boss of the store, and complained to him. And I don’t know what WC said to the boss, but hey, the workers came today and installed them! The power of words! Hehe..

It costs RM560 (material + labour), and that is very expensive for me lah (since I’m not a rich person) and I dread to calculate the whole amount that we’ve spent for the whole renovation! So I guess the furniture shopping will have to be postponed and we’ll have to use back our current furniture for the time being.. :(

Oh, and our blue lights to put in our ceiling are STILL not here yet! WTF man! And since WC is going over to KL tomorrow, aircon, paint changing, and blue lights will have to be postponed until next week. Sigh..

** I know some of you are probably bored of reading my room renovation updates, but I have so many friends asking me how it’s coming along, so instead of telling them the same story over and over, I’ll just post it here, and the whole world can be updated! Aren’t I clever? ;)

Chinese New Year Display @ Warisan Square

17 Jan

While Brunei have their very grand display of celebrations at the NBT every time, us in KK have a similar version of it at the Warisan Square, brought by the Ramajuta Group.

If you haven’t seen their previous displays during Christmas last month, you can click here. And since Chinese New Year is coming up, us Bloggers have another thing to take pics of and blog about!

DSCN6205.jpg
Of course it’s not as grand as others in different states/country, but nevertheless, it’s a very nice display for KK standard

But I love this tree. Very unique!

Seeing up close as to how it was done. That’s a lot of flower lightbulbs! Very creative!
