Yes, after a week of having a bare open space where the window’s supposed to be, this afternoon, the people from Kar Pit Dol came over and installed our windows! So happy, even though now the room stinks of the glue.. yuck!
We were told by them previously that they could only install the windows next Tuesday, and when WC found out about this (he was in office when this news came) he just blew up, saying he didn’t wanna wait until next week!
His exact words: “Habis lah my plaster ceiling would melt if kena the rain!!“
I told him that the workers said that they have to install other customers’ windows, so the only free time that they can do it is on Tuesday. So he quickly called up the boss of the store, and complained to him. And I don’t know what WC said to the boss, but hey, the workers came today and installed them! The power of words! Hehe..
It costs RM560 (material + labour), and that is very expensive for me lah (since I’m not a rich person) and I dread to calculate the whole amount that we’ve spent for the whole renovation! So I guess the furniture shopping will have to be postponed and we’ll have to use back our current furniture for the time being.. :(
Oh, and our blue lights to put in our ceiling are STILL not here yet! WTF man! And since WC is going over to KL tomorrow, aircon, paint changing, and blue lights will have to be postponed until next week. Sigh..
** I know some of you are probably bored of reading my room renovation updates, but I have so many friends asking me how it’s coming along, so instead of telling them the same story over and over, I’ll just post it here, and the whole world can be updated! Aren’t I clever? ;)

Nice. Well as Murphy’s Law always quote “If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway.” Well, i just found out that my down light doesn’t illuminate my room as brightly as I want. Too bad I can’t change it at the shop that I bought it for another one. Now I have to chuck out extra money for another set of down light. Sigh*

Bernard, oh no, that’s too bad.. I was afraid the same thing would happen to my room, since WC only wants one downlight for each side of room, but luckily it’s more than bright! Phew.. but still, that must’ve suck for you to have to fork out extra..
jefferi, Hahahah.. no la, maybe if it’s a new house can la. Or Christmas, maybe? ;) And as for the sat. dish, I know! Blame my neighbour!
Judy, since we probably won’t be buying any new furniture, it won’t be as nice as we’d hope.. but still.. new room! hehe..
deana, yup. Blardy expensive, I tell you. But about the sale, ya WC just told me about it too, asked me to go check out, so I guess that’s my task for this weekend la. But thanks for reminding, and naming the places that you’ve been. Maybe I’ll go check them out too! :)
ezooone, ha? Of course la betul! Why pula I wanna lie? Lol.. Cuz the window is like, 7ft wide, plus, they hafta put cement cuz the window is not originally straight, and we asked for 3 windows (as pictured above), plus it’s the ‘chocolate’ frame, which is 10% more expensive than the usual silver frame one.. so I guess that’s why la tu..

chegu carol, we don’t have at the moment. We’ll see how the room will look like once the furniture comes in, then only we’ll know we can get for the wall.. but thanks for mentioning it! I’ve kinda forgotten about it hehe.. :)
