Renovation Update: Houston, We Have A Problem

Hi guys! If you're new here, you should subscribe to my RSS feed. TQ for visiting! :)

Downlights have already been put in (except for the ones inside the ceiling thingy), floor tiled and grouted, walls and ceiling painted, but there’s one problem..

THE PAINT COLOUR IS NOT WHAT WE WANTED!!

ARGghhhhhh!!

We had originally wanted a greyish white colour for the wall, but after the workers painted it, the wall colour turned out bluish white instead! WTF!

So WC mentioned this to his friend, the boss of the hardware store where we bought the paint, and luckily, he had agreed to give us the paint colour that we wanted for free. Yeay..

But finding people to paint is another problem now: our workers have already started to work at another project so they won’t be coming here tomorrow! Aiyo!

WC asked me to do the painting instead, since I have experience in painting bedroom walls all by myself before. Think I could do it?

No wait.. I think the real question is, am I rajin enough to do it?? LOL!

**update: This is how part of the room looks like at night:

Luckily having only one downlight on each side of room is sufficient; we were afraid the room would still be dark! So phew!

chegu carol, yabah that’s why.. still deciding ni..

clement, well, that boss is one of WC’s good friend for a long time now. And about us calling everyone boss, I’m not sure really. I only use it when the person is really a boss to something heh.. But then again, I noticed even Tagalog movies use it to call people! It could be from the Filipinos in Sabah that made that name calling famous? Guessing only lah..

You can start a ‘wall painting’ business lah this since you are an expert…

I myself also on the process of renovating a room for my wife and myself. It’s been 1 month already and I have not yet blog about it. It is quite slow since me, my brother and my dad renovate it without any outside help. Now I need to take one or two day off to paint it. Anyway, nice room.

kay.kastum.com, I said I’ve got experience lah, but I didn’t say I was an expert! Lol..

Bernard, thanks! And doing the renovation by yourself is always more satisfying! All the best in finishing the renovation! :)

ben, what a cool idea! If it’s a group work, it sure is fun, but as for me, being such a detailed person, I want everything to be perfect, and if I DO paint the room, I think it’ll take like a week to finish! Lol..

Hi Jacq,
It’s a nice colour actually. To me, white seems too normal. My walls seem white but they are not exactly white, a tint of blueish and the other part pinkish… Oh well, my grandma would say it white… nice blog gal.
