My First Taste Of Big Apple’s Donuts

I’ve finally tried the latest rage in KK; the Big Apple donuts!
WC and I were walking around in City Mall one night, and on the way to the Big Apple Donut shop, we met up with my uncle Benny and his mom. They were on the way to Big Apple shop too!
And the weird thing is that according to Benny, turns out that the owner (or one of the owner? I’m not sure lah) of Big Apple KK branch is our uncle! Aduii.. this is what happens when you have a big family; all the uncles and aunties and cousins pun you don’t know! LOL!
All the pics of the shop is in WC’s phone; parents borrowed my camera to go balik kampung that day. So these are the only pics I got when we reached home, and AFTER I got my camera back. Will post the other pics hopefully by tonight (or y’all can just google on other blogs for the pics)..
The Big Apple Donuts branch are now in town! Woohoo!
Thinking maybe I should try the Oreo one first, or maybe the other Chocolate one would taste better..
1 box of this (or 6 pieces inside) costs a whopping RM12! Another food for the rich! LOL..
I wonder if I eat a lot of this, will it make me gain weight (2008 resolution)? *start pondering..*

The owner is your uncle? Hmmm, that should get you unlimited donuts at discounted prices now, wouldn’t it? LOL!

As for those doughnuts…nope, doesn’t do ANYTHING to me. In fact, come to think of it, am a bit nauseous thinking of how sweet they must be…had too much sweet things when in KK!
That donut shop opened in Kl punya lama d and i have not tried a single donut from them…dammit!
Hmmm…i should really go and try it…now looking and reading your post at 8:49am…makes me go hungry….sigh.
Next time try the WhitNut, its white choc outside and peanut butter on the inside. So far, that’s my favourite. =)

dee, awww I woulda, but the thing is I don’t really like peanut butter anymore. Don’t ask me why. Used to love ‘em when I was young. Now I’m just like, sick of it or something. Sot right? But thanks for sharing. I’ll ask WC to try it out instead ya.

I’m a big fan of Dunkin Donuts and would tapau a dozen of them back home whenever I’m in KL. But those look really yummy- must make it a point to stop by one of these days.

Nay, its not like that. WE really like the toppings. MamaJ sure love the durian (duren-duren) and I love the mango ( yellow top - i think so) and the white apa nama. Habis skijap saja. In fact ndak cukup pun. hahaha. Will blog about it when connection really ok.

but since dunkin donut not even in sabah. so big apple sedap la…..the hot one lagi…sedap

papajoneh, I like the mango too! But everyone in my family says that the mango taste weird leh.. Haven’t tried the durian one though.. must get that on my next visit there!
Daddy Keaton, not sure lah. Since it’s been AGES since I’ve tasted Dunkin Donuts, I’ve forgotten the taste already! LOL.. So I guess it’s Big Apple lah for me hehe..

For me, the donuts were too sweet…
Julian, have you tried the Glacier? The plain one is actually quite delicious, and as far the non-sweetness goes, that one’s my favourite.
On the flip side, Chocoholic is a chocolate bomb and of the sweeter ones, that one’s my favourite. They have this new one called Blue Lagoon (although it’s pink), which is a very artificially tasting one and that I would have to say is my least favourite one.
