Some of you may or may not have read Wei Chuen (WC) ’s post on our stay at the suite in Imperial International Hotel on 30th December 2007. If you haven’t, you can read it here.

I’ve been racking my brain for the last month on what to plan for his big 3-0. Then, a friend recommended staying at a hotel room for the night, and I thought.. yeah! That’s a great idea! And remember about my stay at the Imperial International Hotel sometime back? So it’s only natural that I would return and book a room at the same hotel for another night stay!

I had originally thought of getting just a normal room for WC’s birthday, but surprise surprise! I was given an excellent deal to stay at one of their suites instead, so of course I accepted it! Thank you very much again Imperial International Hotel!

WC had no idea what was coming though, and upon going into the suite, his jaw practically dropped because firstly, we got this breathtaking view of the Waterfront and the islands as well as the sea!

WC’s a sucker for sunsets, so this suite is just perfect!

Then, his jaw dropped even more upon realising that we not only have a living room (and VERY comfy couch, I might add!), we also have a kitchenette, with a dining table right beside it! Plus an extra bathroom! This is the first time I’ve seen the suite in this hotel too, and I must say that I’m impressed! It’s really very nice and cozy! Just like an apartment or something!

By the way, there’s also an extra tv in the living room with a DVD player too! I jokingly mentioned that WC should bring his Japanese anime DVD’s to the room before we come, and guess what? He actually did! LOL!

The lightings, space, and the see-through bathroom again! All nice lah! We didn’t really get to use the bathtub on our stay previously, so this time, WC made sure he soaked himself up in the bathtub while watching the second tv that’s in the bedroom! (No DVD player in the bedroom though)

Since I had requested for a late check-out, WC and I took our time in waking up, and when we did, we saw this on our window:

Ahhh what a great mini holiday, and yet still be in the same city! We really didn’t want it to end! But then again, we had to get back into the reality world..

But let me say this, people: each and every one of you should go and have a stay at the this hotel’s suite at least once! Why? Because you’d just want to stay in the suite and not come out! Syok bah! LOL..

With the year 2007 almost over, it only makes sense that I should reflect back on my memorable occasions during this year. I’ll start from the month of March because that was when this blog started. So here we go!

In March:

I’ve finally gone dot com! Woohoo!

In April:

Wei Chuen proposed! (but it wasn’t until September that we had our Engagement Ceremony)

Wei Chuen and my interesting adventure to Brunei which involved the AirAsia plane, a sampan, and an open air bus!

In May:

Left my dear office and my second home and said goodbye to my bosses and colleagues of after 4 years!

In June:

First day on my new job! Sadly my new job only lasted for a month. But loved the uniform though! Oh well..

But during that one month, I did have fun while working..

After more than a month of ogling it, I just went ahead and bought this camera, and this has been one of my best (if not THE best) purchases in 2007!

In July:

Wei Chuen bought a his and hers phone for us: the Motorola V3XX, only for me to lose mine 2 weeks later.. sigh..

Helped organised quite an important event for me: The KK Bloggers Meet (second link here). And finally got to meet the faces behind the blogs I read!

In August: Nothing!

In September:

Wei Chuen and my engagement ceremony!

Of course, my problems with my Paypal account being limited, starting from September and happened again recently. Argh.. horror man..

One of my favourite songs: Irreplacable, sung bluegrass style! See sis? I blogged about it months before it got famous!

Discovered the excitement (and pain!) of a paintball game!

My first time of ordering a big shipment from Ebay USA: my lenses, filters, and tripod! Proved to be VERY useful lah these things! Good buy!

Got myself a new phone: SE K530i. One thing I hate about SE phones is that the ringtones are so sharp! Such a pain to my ears lah! Cuz too much treble bah the sound! And as of now, I still have this phone as a backup, but am using a different phone at the moment.

In October:

Attended the Bloggers Meet with Peter & Wuan even when we were all super tired from the long journey from Brunei

Finally checked out the MV Doulos after all these years!

Encountered a halo afternoon here in Kota Kinabalu

In November:

Had a surprise visit from Gallivanter with Mel!

And finally, in December:

My first ever call from Paypal!

Finally got my very own purple PSP! (which WeiChuen seems to be hogging it even more now than I do lol..)

Went to Kinabalu Park for Christmas with family! You can check out here and here as well to read more about our holiday!

And finally learned how to get the star effects on a picture!

As you can see from the list above, so many memorable things happened to me during the year 2007! Wonder what’s gonna happen in 2008? Well, stay tune on my blog to find out!
