Day 2 of My 2007 Christmas Holiday

So.. continuation from my previous post..

On day 2, which was Christmas Day itself, the whole family woke up quite early, and I dragged Wei Chuen out of bed to accompany me to take pics of the mountain. And it turned out that everybody wanted to go outside as well for a walk before having breakfast, so we all took the back (and very steep) way up to Balsam Cafe.

The walk sure was a good way to work up our appetite, because by the time we reached the cafe, we were all tired and hungry!

You can either order a la carte or the buffet breakfast (RM25++). We all ordered a la carte, except for Wei Chuen, the only person who took the buffet.

My very little a la carte breakfast. The mee was very yummy, but so little quantity. Got hungry only an hour later

The cashier totally screwed up on our bill; the management of the cafe should really look into the way the staff take note on the customers’ orders; whether they’re ordering a la carte or buffet. They should have a better way to serve the food to the a la carte customers as well so as not to confuse with the buffet customers.

But never mind. After breakfast, we all walked back to the lodge, this time using the main road to go there, as it’s much easier and there won’t be any risk of any of us slipping down the steep hill if using the previous way.

When we reached back to the lodge, we rested a bit, then got ready to go to Poring!

Then as we reached there, luckily we got a parking inside the park itself, as they were SO many cars there that day (school holidays and all)! And by then, it was already lunchtime, so we had lunch on the nearby restaurant called Round Inn:

And this is what I had:

My order: Wat tan ho (RM6 I think)

OMG you guys should really try their wat tan ho there. It was delicious! Highly recommended! Rest of family ordered mees and rice, and after trying on the food, it’s better to say that mee cooking is their specialty.

(to be continued..)
