Life Of A Borneo Gurl

It’s almost the middle of the month, and yet, we JUST had our Christmas tree at the house up yesterday! Somehow we don’t have the Christmas spirit before or something.. or whatever lah..

But when Wei Chuen and I went to Wisma Merdeka again to go buy some present papers (cheap bah there), we could hear some singing. So curiosity got the better of me, and went to check it out. Hey got carolers singing there!

Reminds me of my junior high days when I was also in the school’s singing group and we also had to sing all the Christmas songs. Loved the harmony that were taught to us back then.. If only the carolers could sing it the same way here in KK as well.. Oh well.

But after hearing them sing, I told Wei Chuen, “I think the Christmas spirit has finally kicked in me now!”, and dragged him to go buy some silver Christmas decorations. (Btw Sis, take note: this year’s theme is Silver colour ah!)

I also grabbed them cute Christmas hats from Watsons that could light up! One for me, One for Wei Chuen (even though it’s a bit too small for his big head), and another one dunno for who else. (Got it for free. You want it sis?)

No lah.. that wasn’t what the person in the other end said to me. Let me backtrack a little..
I received a phone call sometime after lunch this afternoon from an unknown number (+86…). I had thought of rejecting it, since I don’t like to pick unknown numbers’ calls, but I thought, ok I’ll pick up just this once lah.

And guess who was on the other end..

Somebody from Paypal!

I was like, “Errr.. hi, yes?”. And then the lady asked for a confirmation on whether I had made any withdrawals today (which I did), and the amount (which I told her). She also asked again where I got my payments from, so I told her lah about the blogging thingy (in summary of course). And she just said “Okay Jacquelin. That’s all. Thank you and have a nice day.”

And after hanging up, I thought, OMG, is my account being scrutinized now? I didn’t even withdraw a large amount summore! To those of you who have a Paypal account as well, you guys ever encountered this incident as well? I haven’t read anything about this before..
