Life Of A Borneo Gurl

In KK, that is. The one weekend I decide to go over to Brunei is the same weekend that will be a happening one.

Why?

Well, first, I’ll be missing one of my close friend, and ex-colleague’s wedding this Saturday (yea top pic is her invitation card), and am kicking myself for not being able to go. She’s one of my very close friend, like my younger sister even. Sigh.. so sorry gurl for not being able to make it..

And then on Saturday night, the Halloween Party at the Office Pub will be on as well. I really wanted to go this year as I missed it last year! But dang it, hafta give this year a pass as well! Grrrrr…

And I’m sure you’ve all read about my recent post about the Bloggers Meet which will be held this Sunday. I reeeaally hope I can make it. Hopefully I can reach back to KK in time for this. *crosses fingers*

I guess I’ll just make this Brunei trip this weekend a very fun one as well, so that I won’t be left out.

Will be leaving very early tomorrow and I haven’t even finished packing yet! Argh! Last minute betul oh me! Ish!

Yesterday, while BF was out meeting with clients, I had the kitchen all to myself (parents in Sandakan). And BF said that he wanted to eat some steak. And on Sunday night itself, he did marinated some lamb shoulders.

Anyway, I’ve decided to give it a try and cook my very first steak.

One for me, one of BF, and one for big bro. Some garlic still on top of steak

But the end result wasn’t nice at all. I ended up burning it, especially my portion.

But my lemiding soup passed with flying colours lol.. yum yum!

When BF came home, he had been so nice and said the steak was good and ate all of it anyway. Aww..
