Any Song Can Be Played Country

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

After I blogged about Sugarland’s cover of Beyonce’s Irreplacable yesterday, this song remained stuck in my head until now! Don’t you hate it when this happens?

Sugarland’s version is quite interesting though, as she had done it bluegrass style! Yee-ha!

This is the video clip of the cover song.

And speaking of this song, I also found a male version of it (not the country version though, lol..). The guy’s voice is kinda nice, too. Worth a listen.

Paintball Fun @ Penampang Point Paintball

Monday, September 17th, 2007

We received an invitation to play paintball game at Penampang Point Paintball from a friend of ours a few days ago, and as soon as WeiChuen finished reading the sms, he was all excited to play and persuaded me to join in as well!

Both of us have never played this game before, and until we received the sms, we have never even heard that this game exists here in KK! LOL..

I actually didn’t wanna play because I’ve seen some bruise pictures from my friends who have played them in KL, and they sure are horrible! And I gave excuses after excuses to WeiChuen so that I could be exempted from the game, but WeiChuen being WeiChuen, he believed none of it, and thus, I was stuck playing in the game with most of the boys. But boy, was I glad that I played! It was super fun!

The entrance to the field. You can give those numbers a call if you would like to play!

This is how the field looks like

I’ve given the important task of capturing the game moments on my camera to Radzie. TQ very much Zie! :)

Before the game starts, we managed to camwhore a bit amongst the players! As usual lah when I’m around! LOL!

The players are divided into 2 teams, East Side and West Side. And say hello to my East Side team!

DSCN2512.jpg

Okay fine, you can’t see who’s who behind the mask, so here’s the East Side team once again!

DSCN2515.jpg

Nice lookin’ team, ey? And yes, I was the only one wearing the vest!

DSCN2514.jpg
And here’s WeiChuen and I gettin’ ready to go out and play!

And here we are getting into position!

Radzie took some nice shots with my camera! And he also managed to capture me in action! With messy hair, unfortunately (lol..), but then again, who has time to fix it when you’re in a middle of a ‘war’!

DSCN2529.jpg
Here’s WeiChuen in action too! Dang he was brave; hardly went for cover!

DSCN2527.jpg
And here’s us covering the centre field!

Okay lah, enough of us. Here’s the team in action as well!

See? Told y’all that WeiChuen hardly goes for cover!

DSCN2556.jpg
This is one of the shots that WeiChuen received after moving to the West Side team (this shot’s by Julian Sabah), and I commented on how it looks a lot like bird doo-doo! A pink bird doo-doo! LOL!

When the both of us got home (with WeiChuen having the most bruises), our shoes (and socks) were soaked with mud, due to the rainfall during the game. But with all the excitement during the game, who has time to think of mud! And actually, the more dirty you get, the more fun it is! (And luckily I’m not the type who would make a fuss over dirt! LOL!)

Group picture of both the East Side and West Side Team. We had so much fun, I’m sure we’ll be doing this again soon! Can’t wait!

I’ve finally uploaded a short clip of us in the middle of the ‘war’, taken by WeiChuen! Enjoy!

Sunday Post

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Had the pleasure of driving WeiChuen’s car the last 2 days when he was in KL. I even visited my old office in Kolombong yesterday morning to see my ex-colleagues and sent some mooncakes to my ex-bosses that we had shipped from KL.

I even bought a KFC Thrift Plate for my lunch! Now can you tell how much I love KFC? LOL..
And last night, arrived in KKIA airport at 11.20pm, and realised that I was the only one there. Yeah, kinda realised that I was wayyy early to pick WeiChuen up. See?

No other people waiting there, only me. And I even managed to take a nap in the car for like, 15 minutes! But anyway, after 45 minutes of waiting in the car, WeiChuen finally came out. So happy that he’s back!

In fact, I was so happy to see him again that I woke up early and cooked a breakfast for the both of us!

And this afternoon, we’re gonna be playing some paintball shooting with some friends. Can’t wait as this is both our first playing!

RIP Tupac Shakur 16 June, ‘71 - 13 Sept, ‘96

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

I’ve totally forgotten about this, but on 13 September, it was the anniversary of Tupac’s death.

I actually grew up listening to his songs, and because of his music that I fell in love with the hiphop and rap genre. The reason why I love his songs so much is because his raps are very meaningful (unlike a lot songs these days), and his songs are the type of songs that you would really listen to the lyrics instead of just enjoying the beat of the music.

Anyway, I found a Dave Chapelle skit called “Tupac Songs” that I’d like to share it with you all. Have a listen to the lyrics! It’s so damn funny!

Here’s the lyrics to this funny song:

~~~~~
Listen close, as life turns its pages
Makaveli here, kickin’ rhymes for the ages
Seen things in stages, wise words spoken by sages
From SkyTel to BlackBerry pages
Your crew don’t phase us, we’ll make you bustas pay us
Run up in your spot like CJ from San Andreas
I wrote this song a long time ago
A real long time ago
Feel me!
I wrote this song a long time ago
It was the dopest song I ever wrote… in ‘94
What can a {nigg*} do when half the people voted for George W.
It’s a b*tch, {f*ck} George W. — can’t be true –
I wanna choke him, because he’s a snitch
I’m talking about George W. Smith
From city council, he ran in ‘93
Out in Oakland, you probably didn’t hear about him
I wrote this song a long time ago
A real long time ago
Way before Slim Shady was in demand
Way before we dropped baloney on Afghanistan
I wrote this song in ‘94
How am I doin’ this?
Look around the club, see everyone in the place
Showing ‘Pac love got a smile on my face
The girl in the miniskirt has bad taste
Because her shirt don’t match
And there’s a puddin’ stain on the back
What the {f*ck} is that?
It might be doo-doo!
And you in the back, you ain’t {sh*t}
You bought a gin and tonic but you didn’t even tip
And if you hit the table one more time then the record might skip
Might skip… I told you, stop hittin’ the table
Tupac Shakur
I wrote this rhyme in 1994
I’m not alive!
Thug life!
Dave Chappelle, that ain’t your wife
A married man, you’ve got two kids
Go home!
I wrote this song a long time ago
A real long time ago
Way before Beanie Sigel had to do a bid
Way before Dave Chappelle had two kids
No friends, and no future
~~~~~

And here is my favourite slow rap song from him, called “Life Goes On”. RIP Tupac.
