Fantastic Dinner @ Barcelona Tapas Y Cava

BF and I had dinner on Wednesday night here at Barcelona Tapas Y Cava in Warisan Square.

And wow.. I’ve never been to a restaurant where they served so many complimentary food from the chef! I didn’t manage to see whether other tables got the same treatments or not. I think they probably did..

But anyway..

First up, a dish that is bread and tomato paste, forgot the name, though. Such a simple dish, and yet, yummy!

Even BF gave it 2 thumbs up!

Then a complimentary drink called “Sangria ‘D’ Most”.

Cheers! Glug Glug..

Then, complimentary cheese nuggets. Was told that the cheese was imported all the way from Spain. In fact, all of their ingredients are! Muy Bueno, si?

I could eat this everyday and gain weight in no time!

And finally, dessert. Have no idea what it’s called, it’s cream and sugar, though. Yummy!

This restaurant is also the first restaurant that I’ve left a lot of tip to them, even though they have service charge. But hey, it’s not everyday you get this much complimentary stuff, and speak to one of the bosses AND the chef all in one night, right?

Am still compiling the info to do a review for this restaurant. So damas y caballeros, wait for it ya?

Another Weird Incident

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

I really hate it when weird things happen to me.

For example?

Case 1:
Seeing ghosts in cinemas. It’s because of this that I hardly go out to watch movies anymore. But then again, it only happens to a certain cinema, which I won’t say it here.

Case 2:
When I’m out driving at night. I’d see the same thing doing some weird things, like standing facing a wall, in the middle of the dark alley. Or moving very swiftly, then disappear. Eeek! And whenever I tell BF about the things I saw the next day, he would always say, no wonder, but refused to tell me what he saw or happened, as it always happened at my house itself (according to him lah). Hmm.. might as well, I certainly don’t wanna know anymore scary incidents here at the house!

Case 3:
Would sometimes dream of a certain incidents that would happen in the future. I would often find myself saying, eh? I’ve been in this scenario before, up to the exact conversations! But the best dream I’ve had was still the one where my best friend gave me my ex’s email password through my dream; I was trying to get some evidence that he was cheating on me. And as soon as I woke up, I tried out the password given, and true enough, I have enough evidence to confront him! Kick-ass dream, that was! LOL!

And today, another weird thing happened to me, I have quite a big bruise on my right leg. 2 bruises, actually, one bruise on top of another (see pic). Hurts like hell, but I’m sure I didn’t knock my leg anywhere; I would certainly remember if I hit my whole right leg somewhere!

Some say having the third eye is fun. But I have another friend who also have this unfortunate gift, and he agrees with me: it’s ruining our sleep and is scaring the crap out of us wherever we go! Even though most of the time we wouldn’t know that it’s Casper that we saw, but still, once we find out, the feeling is super eerie! My friend is even more unfortunate that I am; he even saw Medusa before (palis2 on my part though! LOL..)! But he said he was lucky that she didn’t look at his eyes; she just looked down. Lucky bugger.

Jalan-Jalan Cari Hotel Pt II - Imperial International Hotel

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

Apart from my tour at Radius Int’l Hotel last week, I was also lucky enough to check out the soon-to-be-opened (4-star) Imperial International Hotel, also located at Warisan Square..

Here a some pics that I managed to capture on my tour there!

The entrance sign

The room; simple and yet with modern decor. Me likey!

The I was told that there will are 208 room in total equipped with modern and high-tech amenities. So far only one of the room floors are done; the rest are still in renovation and will be completed soon..

I was also brought to check out the rooftop of the hotel, which is said to be the hotel’s “crowning glory”. Once the rooftop is done, one can truly enjoy in an all day dining restaurant, with beautiful view of the Tunku Abdul Rahman islands as well as the South China Sea.

With the decor of the hotel being quite modern as well, as well as the fantastic posh location, this hotel is definitely on my list for my friends and relatives to stay in town in the future!

I could say that I am one of the lucky ones to be able to check out the hotel before it is actually opened. And I will be giving my review of this place on Wednesday, as I will be staying there for a night! Can’t wait!

3rd Aug Weekend Part II - The Cocoon Outing

Monday, August 13th, 2007

BF and I arrived at Cocoon at around 11.45pm, and we met Josie on the way inside. The rest of the gurls weren’t there yet, so we just went on inside. Recognised some people in there, though they all gave me the “sombong” look, so I didn’t bother saying hi to them. And for the first time, we all sat at the couch area of Cocoon!

But to me sitting there on the couch wasn’t that much fun as at the normal tables; we had to face the crowd, as well as the back of the band. Cannot take that many crazy pics, too; shy lah facing everyone! Also I guess since we arrived quite late, most of the songs being played were house music; yawn. I could see mostly everyone were sitting stiffly on their seats. But hey, at least the DJ played my fav. song Timberland’s Way I Are several times (even if it’s the remix version)!

Olie arrived around 10 minutes later, and Mel around 10 minutes after that. So we finally got our groove on after that!

DSCN1598.jpg
BF kept on saying we could pass off as sisters. Err.. okay.. whatever you say BF!

DSCN1594.jpg

Us, still sober..

DSCN1602.jpg

Around 10 minutes and a few glasses later: Mel & I using the fries and did a smoking pose, while Josie was being her usual cheerful self (her laughter could be heard even though the music was so freaking loud! LOL), and Olie gave “the look”

DSCN1607.jpg
See, this is what he saw of the band all night long; their backs! How boring.

DSCN1618.jpg

We got kinda bored so we started to take some very silly pics (most of which couldn’t be published here! LOL) But this is a funny pic of Josie trying to see Ben’s body, and Olie wanting to be in every single picture possible! LOL..

DSCN1616.jpg
And Charlene managed to join us in the end! Yeay!
Group pic! But eh, seems like somebody’s missing! And everybody looked so sober and boring! LOL..

DSCN1628.jpg
There we go; a silly pic of everyone!

Since we arrived there quite late, and the I thought the DJ music sucked that night, we didn’t enjoy as much as we usually did. I mean, everybody was still quite sober by the time the club was closed, though surprisingly, Olie got quite tipsy! Had a scare of forgetting her wallet at Cocoon, but found out the next day that it was with her safe and sound after all! Phew!
