Was Tough, But Dress Mission Accomplished

22 Aug

My legs still hurt like hell; I can barely walk around the house, let alone go out. But yet yesterday, I did go out anyway! Had no choice. Got some errands to do..

I think it was the adrenaline rush of going shopping that made me slightly forget about the pain, and yes, as usual, I went out with my highest of high heels I have. And the whole time I walked, I said to myself, control, control, and tried not to show the pain in front of people. I don’t want them to come up to me and ask whether I’m ok and wanting to know what happened! And hey, beauty is pain, right? Haha.. And my ex-colleagues didn’t even noticed a thing, too! I should get an Oscar for my acting! Lol..

Yes, I went over to my previous office to sign my contract of becoming a part time IT Trainer. No, not office at the hotel, but my previous office before my last job. Got offered quite a good income from them for this job to some one-on-one selective students, and I must say, it’s really quite an exciting news for me! Sure, I’ve never done anything like this before, but they need someone who’s presentable (check), speaks very good English (double check), and isn’t afraid of conducting a class for some, let’s say, important people (errr.. not sure about this, sure sounds scary to me, but check anyway!).

It felt good to be back at the old office too, and strangely enough, I did miss that ol’ place. I sat with my ex-colleagues at our usual lunch table, and of course, I sat at my usual spot. Ahh.. memories. And they filled me in with the recent gossips on just about everything, and it was crazy! But it felt like I never left the place at all, and that I was still a staff of that office. Been there for a good 4 years, and it was my second home before. Sigh..

Oh well. Anyway, after signing my contract, my legs were crying in pain but I just continued to head on over to Giant Kolombong to shop for some dresses. I like this particular shop there called Amos, as the clothes they sell there are quite cute and really suits me. Quite cheap too, which is a plus point in my book! I tried on more than a dozen clothes there, but I finally did it! I got my dress! I knew Amos wouldn’t let me down! ;)

Sneak Peek!

In pain but still can pose

Nice or not? At first I wanted the theme colour to be Lilac. But it’s insanely difficult to find a good Lilac dress with a reasonable price here in KK, so I changed the theme colour to purple instead! So to those coming, especially ladies, make sure you wear purple outfits too, ya! :)

10 more days till the ceremony, and I haven’t even prepared the contract yet! Yikes!

This Is What I Get For Being Hyper

21 Aug

Finished my work early yesterday, so I dragged BF to go jogging with me at Likas Complex at 6am. Okay, well, not jogging per se, just brisk walking. BF grumpily agreed to join along.

I was so hyper that I asked him to train me in doing the warm-ups, as well as other exercises lah. Gawd, I certainly didn’t see it coming, though, because he told me to do the squatting exercises, which I have trouble doing, well, because I’m so out of shape (Lol), and I tell you, it was torture! I barely finished the exercises!
But anyway, regretted asking him to show me the exercises, because I could barely drive after that, and yes, manual truly sucks (just had to throw that in there lol..).

He left for work after that, and I got bored being alone at home, so I washed my car (which took around 45 minutes, don’t ask me why it took that long), then waxed it straight after (which took me around 4 hours lol). Forgot to eat lunch (and feed my dogs, poor them), but just continued to shine up my interiors!

Needless to say, when I woke up this morning, not only my thighs are very sore, my arms and shoulders are as well! So painful! And I have Salonpas patches all over! So ugly! LOL..

Opening Day Of KAC Skating Rink

19 Aug

Did any of you go to the skating rink yesterday? I didn’t know that it was the official opening today, and luckily a friend of mine told me that it was yesterday! I imagined that the rink would be filled with people as skating yesterday was FOC, so I put my visit off till the evening.

So arrived there around 7pm, and started taking pics!

There were a lot of people there, all right, but on the rink itself, was this:

Yup, nobody was on the rink, except for some of the staff, trying to keep people off of the rink or whatever. I find it funny that this one particular staff doesn’t even know how to skate and yet she was on the rink, moving along veryyy slow, afraid of falling down. And another staff landed flat on her butt, too.. how embarrassing, because a lot of people are watching them! And there’s this ‘picture-wall’ that showed all the staff and bosses’ pics taken while skating, and true enough, the same staff who fell down earlier even have her pic taken while falling down pasted on there! LOL..

DSCN1757.jpg

Was there some sort of game going on before I arrived? Looks like an ice hockey team or something..

DSCN1755.jpg

Some people just lepak-ing, and didn’t know what to do since they couldn’t skate..

DSCN1760.jpg

The counter to get the skates.. you can choose either ice skates, roller blades, or a combo of err.. roller/ice skates?

The admission fees

I was so looking forward of skating last night, but I waited and waited and waited, and then got frustrated, and just left the place. Guess I’d hafta go another time, then..
