Been having problems with the new phones and this stupid 3G for the whole day yesterday.
We couldn’t make any calls when the phone detected that we’re in 3G location except for video calls only (which means only calls to each other). And we noticed that the problem would be gone when we are in 2.5G location (like shopping complexes, etc). We suspect it could both be the phone AND Maxis problem, and we complained to both places.
Well, today, the handphone shop called and mentioned that they have also complained to Maxis about this, and apparently all 3.5G phones like mine (and I think the Nokia 6110?), and who are Maxis postpaid users would have this problem. So what was told by Maxis was that they are in the middle of upgrading the Maxis 3G system, and this problem will be fixed shortly. How short though, I don’t know..
Ah.. the problem of having a 3.5G phone, and not a normal 3G phone..
But anyway, gonna go meet up with Mel and Charlene and a few other friends tonight at Shennys. Can’t wait!

Yeah…. the hardware, the phone already here but the support is not even updated. All this advertisement gimmick… isk.. bikin panas sometimes. thats why im still holding myself from getting any 3+G phone… especially if i have to pay for the service.
JACQ: luckily the handphone store made a complaint as well oh! Cuz the next day it was ok oredy! Woohoo! And video call is only 15sen per minute for Maxis postpaid! Quite cheap!

It is a nice feature for heavy handphone user…but I think 3G is far from perfect for now…I bought my Nokia 6630 not for it’s 3G feature but rather for other feature…anyway, there is still no 3G coverage up here in Kudat…
JACQ: yea, guess it’ll take a while for the whole of Sabah to have the 3G coverage.. certainly is entertaining when you’re stuck in a traffic jam and such! hehe..
