So last night was another of our ‘family dinner outing’ again. My younger brother is going back to Miri tomorrow, as his class is starting soon. So that was why dad wanted to bring all of us out for dinner.
We went to Pizza Hut Damai, and we all wanted to try this new Cheesy Bites Dip-Licious (well, to us it’s new, since we haven’t been to Pizza Hut in a LONG time).
This is the ad for the Dip-licious..

And this is what we got. We were like, “Hey, how come when we pull it, the cheese doesn’t stretch pun! Kena tipu leh!”, so we all ended up eating it like a normal pizza slice, cutting it in triangular shape, and eating it the normal way. How boring. But I guess the one we got looked alrite; check out how other customers’ dip-licious look like here! Yikes!
And I didn’t really eat the pizza with the dip sauce, because the dip sauce tasted like Cheetos! LOL.. And it doesn’t go well with the rest of the pizza taste, IMO. So this pizza for me is only so-so. I much prefer normal pizzas, with lotsa toppings! Gimme that any day and I’ll eat it!
After dinner, parents went back, while us ‘kids’ stayed in Damai, and went to get a drink at Borneo Tribes Cafe (is this name correct? I forgot oredy leh!) in Damai Point.
We love the place as the decor is quite nice, good place to hang out, and there’s hardly any people there, so we could always park right in front of the cafe!
Then I suggested to go for supper after that, but they all just looked at me as if I’m insane and asked, “You’re not full yet??”
BF also just shook his head in disbelief. So we all just went home after that, and I ate some Coco Crunch before going to bed. LOL..

Did you use flash for that shot outside the cafe?
JACQ: you mean the one without any people tu? If that’s the one, then nope. No flash used, it really does look like that outside. Why you ask ah?

Eh I beg to differ. We had out dip licious at City Mall Pizza Hut, it was OKAY what. And I actually like the dip… maybe I’m a cheese lover… hehehehe… but I can surely tell u the dip they gave us is somewhat same like the cheezy wedges cheese that they used :)
JACQ: the dip on cheesy wedges is nacho cheese. But we didn’t get on that night pun! Iyerr. I wouldn’t mind if that’s the dip they give us, cuz that’s actually a yummy nacho dip. But no, ours really tasted like Cheezels, and really man, it doesn’t go well with the pizza! Haha.. You guys were lucky that yours were yummy. Lol..

I am reading your blog in Los Angeles. I left KK 22 years ago. The reason the cheese did not pull was because the store probably didn’t use mozzarella cheese, maybe it’s not available in KK. Anyway KK is not how I remember it, I haven’t been back but reading some Sabah blogs made me realize, this is not my KK anymore. I write a blog too, google me at socalgalopenwallet. I wish lots of succcess.

JACQ: Hello there anne chung! They did use mozzarella cheese (we could taste it), but I guess it wasn’t enough to be able to see the ‘pull’ effect. And believe me, KK’s not that behind until there’s no mozzarella cheese on sale. Hehe.. I think if you come to KK, I don’t think you would be able to recognise it anymore, there’s so many construction and new buildings and changes going around here!

Borneo Tribes Kafe at Damai is located at the corner of Block 1. One will not miss this Cafe. Well it is a very low profile cafe est about 7 months ago. A well arranged decor and presentation is like a 5 star hotel cafe. Try it’s OXTAIL Assam Pedas price at RM18.00 plus tax. It is much better than the famous Hyatt Oxtail. Irwan Syah and Acha of MY Heart had dinner at Borneo Tribes during their last concert in KK. A very safe and good place to hangout.
JACQ: Cool! Thanks for the info! Nice to know that the two celebrities had their dinner there. And yes, expect us to check out the oxtail assam pedas soon! :)
