Trip To Brunei Pt.1
Left the house at 5.30am in a rush, but as it was on a Sunday, there were not many cars on the road at all. So we reached the AirAsia airport 20 minutes later (with bro drove slowly).
Then we realised that we forgot one of the bags filled with gifts to bring over to Brunei! So luckily bro was kind enough to drive back and sped back to the airport in time!
This is what BF and I had in the plane: nasi lemak. Looks really good, but the rice was actually not even cooked yet. It was not even half cooked yet! I commented to BF that I’ll surely be having a tummyache when later on that day, and sure enough, I did! Grrrr…
Passed the cool looking winding river again!
So we reached Miri on time..
and my younger bro picked us up. After breakfast, we waited at the bus stop for our bus ride to Kuala Belait, and the particular bus that we had to take this one..
We thought, oh okay, that’s good. A big aircond bus. We were quite comfortable and BF even took out my notebook and we played Monopoly! (that was the only game I’ve installed to my notebook so far!)
But after the Brunei border, surprise, surprise! We had to change bus.. to an open air bus, to be precise!
It was so hot inside, I think we were practically baked in them! So I opened the window all the way, and luckily we didn’t swallow any bugs during the ride!
And then we had to change transportation again! This time it’s to a sampan!!
We were not informed about this at all! No wonder the bus far was cheap! It was RM7.50 per person. But it was an adventure, for sure! By using this sampan, we were told that our ride was cut down by 20 minutes as compared to using the highway!
So finally, we arrived at the Kuala Belait Bus Terminal. We were so sweaty and stuff, that we were glad to get into bro in law’s car with aircond on! LOL..
This is the end of part 1. Now you can go read the part 2 of this trip!
